Very rare: The chances of cancer are there but quite remote. So i would not be too concerned as long as you take your antacids regularly and get egd done once every 10 years.

4 years ago reflux started and lead to non h-pylori gastritis. Quit smoking, I'm not overweight, and quit drinking. Chronic gerd persists. Take 20mg aciphex daily. I reflux drinking water. Anything else I can add medication wise to help avoid cancer
Can esophageal cancer be missed during an endoscopy? I often have a dull pain there. Would LPR or GERD be the cause as well? Diagnosed-gastritis.
