Depends: Wound healing varies from one person to another, but one thing for sure is creating or maintaining an irritation free and clean environment will help the healing process. Spicy food can irritate the tissue nd indirectly effec the healing. So it is best to wait until there is closure of the wound.

You will know: How spicy? The only way to know when you are ready to eat spicy food is to eat it. However, spicy foods can cause a burning sensation at extraction sites. Imagine placing pepper on an open wound. Ouch! assuming that there were not complications from the extraction procedure and you have healed uneventfully, waiting 1 week would be a safe time to eat spicy foods. Enjoy!
