How long??: Oops, you forgot to mention how long it's been since the extractions. Your own dentist can give you the best advice regarding this. Call the office and ask.

Typically the first: 24-48 hours its softish foods - foods you can cut with a fork and then graduate to normal foods. I would however avoid chips, popcorn etc typed of foods for about a week. Make sure to keep the area clean. Hope this helps.

How much time?: Your post did not say. Depending on the severity of the extraction, sutures, flap closure, etc, it can take up to a week for the tissues to heal enough to eat 'normal foods'. Use your best judgment depending on how you feel and consult with your oral surgeon if you have further concerns.
