Not too long: If present, it usually is much better after 3-4 days. Keep your head elevated and use ice for the first 2-3 days after surgery to reduce the swelling. Although the swelling of the nose lasts longer, facial swelling and bruising is usually gone by 2 weeks.

Rhinoplasty recovery: Dear macrometa9, it will take up to 2 weeks for eye swelling to go down. Just be patient. If it lasts a little longer, an oral steroid can help bring the swelling down faster. Best, nima shemeirani.

Weeks: Usually a week or two if you swell a lot. The nasal swelling takes longer to resolve. It helps to keep your head elevated above your heart while sleeping for a week or two to bring the swelling down. Also you can soak gauze in ice water and lay them on your eyes for the first few days.
