Exercise: By doing abdominal strengthening exercises such as sit-up, crunches in a repetious manner over time will strengthen your abdominal muscle.

Abdominal exercises: Simple situps can be just as effective if done repetitively, but for full core workouts, planks, yoga, pilates, even push-ups all give fuller, more total workouts than just situps. However, if you are just beginning a routine, start slow with situps and build up from there. Hope this helps!
