As tolerated: Your activity level should be based on pain and discomfort caused by the hernia. This is also the general instructions for after a hernia is repaired surgically. There are a wide variety of abdominal hernias ranging from relatively "simple" to highly complex. Best to see a general surgeon for a consultation in order to make an informed decision.
