What to do for panic attacks in men?

10 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

TREATMENT: The treatment for men or women is the same for panic or anxiety. See your physician and explain the symptoms to determine if medications can help or therapy or both. Medications can include antidepressants or anti anxiety agents. Therapy can be relaxation, meditation, deep breathing. Behavioral, or cognitive. Can also exercise sleep right and eat and drink healthy.

Same treatment as: For women. You may want to meet with a therapist who specializes in anxiety and panic attacks. Cognitive behavioral treatment is very successdul sometimes with some added insight oriented treatment to understand some of the causal factors..
