Not Working: You still describe a disc that is displaced. This just means that the arthroscopy treatment is not working. Either the cause of your TMJ problem needs to be addressed, and/or another type of treatment attempted. Unfortunately, this could mean a TMJ "surgery".

Not normal: Your symptoms are expected with disc displacement, but the patient with a healthy joint does not experience these signs and symptoms. Clicking also means the disc is moving, and it is alternately displaced and then recaptured. There is a good chance that your problem cane be solved with a properly designed dental, appliance called a neuromuscular orthosis, made by a specially trained dentist.

NO: Wow. Surgeries have provided entirely the desired results. Time to get a second opinion before it gets even worse!

Not normal: Not normal. If you still have unacceptable symptoms, you may need open TMJ surgery. Talk to your surgeon.
