Depends: How old was your mom when she went through menopause? That will likely be your age so if not till 56 you may want to reconsider. If symptoms areild it's agood plan since >80% will shrink. Some will hurt when they shrink/die and will require surgery.

Possibly: When you go through menopause your heavy periods will stop. The average age of menopause in the us is 51. If your heavy periods are affecting your life then you should have a hysterectomy.
