Need an appt: Having fibroids removed should not put someone into menopause. It is also not normal to not have a period for over a year unless you are using a birth control method to make this happen. Please go see your obgyn to be fully evaluated

Maybe: If your ovaries were removed at the time of the fibroid removal then you are in surgical menopause. If the ovaries are still in place and you are not pregnant then your MD can perform a blood test to check your FSH to see if menopause is present.
