A member asked:

I was wondering if anyone has had good results with eating various nut butters, in trying to lower cholesterol?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A little.: According to various studies, healthy nuts such as almonds, walnuts, and possibly even peanuts may cause a small reduction (around 5 to 7%) in LDL and total cholesterol and a slight bump in healthy cholesterol.
