A member asked:

Would taking 1mg or 2mg of clonazepam help with my bad social anxiety?

Yes it can: But it can make u too sedated to participate in any activity and if the social activity involve alcohol it can put u in a dangerous situation. Try cognitive behavioral therapy and perhaps a small dose of Inderal (propranolol) . Talk with u physician about it.

Can, not best: Clonazepam is usually too sedating for daytime use. In addition to psychotherapy, you usually start out with a serotonin reuptake inhibitor (ssri) (like zoloft, (sertraline) prozac) and since it takes at least 3 weeks for the ssri to start to work, at the same time, you may start with a less sedating tranquilizer, like Ativan (lorazepam) or xanax (alprazolam) to help until the ssri is working enough to stop it.
