Are pediatricians are more expensive then a family practice physician?

Not generally: Most reimbursement levels are set by contracts with hmo/ppo or insurance companies & peds get paid the same as fp's in most areas. You can call around in your area & check it out yourself.

Family practice : They bill using the same codes. It should be the same. However drs are able to negotiate with ins carriers and depending on need sometimes are payed more.
