Adolescent Medicine: Some pediatricians will go on to train for 3 additional years in adolescent medicine & usually practice & teach at large training centers or in large medical groups. Some pediatricians & some family practice docs develop an interest in adolescent medicine & cater to that group in their local practice. All teens should find a doc that they feel comfortable with & sometimes that takes time.
