Do mammogram.: Mammogram can show whether the bump is normal or abnormal breast tissue. It may also identify whether the lump is a lymph node.

Imaging study: All imaging procedures, whether plain x-rays, ct's, mris, pets, ultrasound, etc., are indirect studies open to interpretations which vary with the reader, the machine used, the technical skill of the operator, and the anatomic variances of the patient. If you really want to know what something is, you biopsy.
