If you need to ask: Get a second opinion to put your mind at ease. You should also have your ENT explain more fully what he/she believes it is and why it is swollen. Be proactive for your piece of mind.

Why is it Swollen?: Probably infected or inflammed glands/lymph nodes/tonsils. If there is infection, and especially with antibiotics, the swelling should go away with time. Then swallowing should get easier. If it doesn't get better, a more involved work-up is in order.
