Inflammatory: The painful node is likely just inflammatory. Ibuprofen or Aspirin can help. If it persists, see your physician for an exam.

Probable node: From what you describe you most likely have a reactive lymph node from your earlier injury. If its not better in two weeks, have your doctor take a look at it.
