It depends: It depends on why you're on the methylprednisolone, and other problems you may have. Please talk with your own physician about this. Xanax (alprazolam) is a powerful anti-anxiety medication. Methylprednisolone may affect the same liver enzymes that process xanax (alprazolam). Your doctor is familiar with your personal health conditions, and we on healthtap are not.

Xanax/Prednisone: Steroids may slightly decrease level of Xanax, (alprazolam) depending on the dose.
