Yes, also consider: Yes, it is perfectly safe for you to take trazadone and i hope it helps. Withdrawal from xanax (alprazolam) (; other benzodiazepams) can be very difficult, causing insomnia ; anxiety, so it is wise to do your best to not run out of them. Because these drugs act on the same receptor as alcohol, having a drink or 2 of alcohol is the closest over-the-counter substitute to reduce withdrawal until you can get more.

Trazodone: You can take trazodone, but it's not likely to help insomnia and "feeling bad" due to xanax (alprazolam) withdrawal. You need to call your physician asap and ask for advice. If you've run out due to taking more than prescribed, this is another type of problem that needs to be dealt with also.
