Coccidiodomycosis: Initially can cause a pneumonia as the arthrospores are inhaled from the environment although many infections are asymptomatic. In a small number of patients, dissemination can subsequently be diagnosed in a variety of possible places including bone and cns. A chronic lung infection may also occur.
