A member asked:

Is there way to lower my interocular pressure?

7 doctors weighed in across 3 answers

Yes: Many ways. Intraocular pressure can be lowered with medications, laser, surgery. Living a healthy life with exercise, less stress, and reduced caffeine intake is a good idea. The more important question is whether the eye pressure needs to be lowered therapeutically to preserve vision.

Drops if necessary: Although diet and lifestyle may contribute to the pressure in the eye, it is mostly predetermined in your genetic makeup. If you do not have glaucoma and your pressure is between 10-20mmhg, it is considered normal. If you have glaucoma, even pressures in the normal range may be too high for you. The best way to lower pressure is with glaucoma drops.
