A member asked:

What could cause pain when applying pressure to lower back?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

This could come from a variety of situations, such as bruised tissues (muscles and ligaments) or something structurally wrong that is a bit deeper, like the joints (called facet joints or sacroiliac joints), or the vertebral bones. A disc problem or spine subluxation can also cause tenderness to pressure of the lower back. A through history and examination with your physician is warranted!
