Bulge and pain: If u develop a soft bulge over or around umbilicus and puffiness of skin around the area and some pain with activity, then perhap you may develop an umbilical hernia.

See below : Most commonly there will be a visible or palpable lump in the area. This is the hallmark of an umbilical hernia. They may or may not be associated with pain. They usually grow with time. Concerning signs include unrelenting pain and redness or thinning of the skin. Check with your doctor about repair.
