Uncertain: If the pain is directly over the hernia, it is likely related to the hernia, and you should see a general surgeon for a consultation. If the hernia was repaired, and that's where the pain is, it should gradually improve over the course of 2-6 weeks depending on the type of repair and your response to operation. Hope this helps!
