Where is the hernia?: What type of hernia are you describing? Umbilical hernia? Hernia somewhere else? If you have an umbilical hernia, why don't you have it repaired surgically before considering piercing the area. If the hernia is in a different location, then the piercing likely would not have any effect on your hernia or future repair.
