Does seroquel (quetiapine) affect emotions similarly to lithium and risperidone?

Yes and No.: Depending on the dose, as with lithium and risperidone, seroquel (quetiapine) can be used as a mood stabilizer, an antidepressant, or both. Like, risperidone, seroquel (quetiapine) is classified as an atypical antipsychotic and its effects are more similar to that drug than lithium. However, everyone is unique and I have seen the same patient respond very differently to these three medications.
