What is the best way to switch from 1 mg risperidone to seroquel (quetiapine) and then taper down slightly?

With doctor's help: Your psychiatrist can help you with this change -- but 1mg Risperidone is a fairly low dose. To decrease risperidone, it could simply be reduced in dose without using seroquel (quetiapine) at all. Not sure why you want to switch to seroquel (quetiapine), unless more help with sleep is desired.

Switch and taper: Consult your doctor. You could go to seroquel (quetiapine) 25-50 mg at bedtime without much difficulty.
