Could one get a sinus infection from having a top back tooth removed?

Could be: Top back teeth have their roots very close to sinus. Some roots might already in the sinus. When dentist remove top back teeth, there is a chance that the sinus is involved or penetrated. In that case the oral cavity is communicated with sinus via the extraction socket and bacterial can get inside sinus and cause infection. However, this can be corrected by different manners.
