If there is drainage from my tooth being infected does that mean the amoxicillion is working? and does it hurt to have a tooth pulled? i'm scared.

Infection: Drainage could happen with or without the antibiotic. Draining is a good thing when on the antibiotic and hopefully means your infection is being treated with the amoxicillin. Usually you'll know is 1-2 days if the antibiotic is working properly as your discomfort and swelling will go down. If you have questions you should go to your dentist.

No : Drainage just means there is an opening from which the infection drains. It does not indicate that antibiotics are working. With an infected tooth, antibiotics are not a solution: it is a temporary patch that helps get the infection under control so that the tooth can be treated with a root canal if you want to save it, or allows the tooth to be safely extracted. You will be numb so no pain.
