Tooth sealants?: Dental sealants act as a barrier to prevent the break down (demineralization) of the top portion of teeth. They seal the pits on the top of teeth where they are the most suseptible to decay. The 6 year and 12 year molars are the most commonly sealed teeth.

No such thing: If you are talking dentisry there is no such thing. Dental sealants are for the chewing surfaces and other grooved surfaces of the teeth. They are not apllied to the gums.
