You shouldn't: Sticky foods can pull sealants off the teeth...If you want to chew gum, try a non sticking type made for use with dental work.

Depends : It depends upon the type of sealant your dentist placed. Some materials allow you to eat immediately while other types require a 'curing' period. If your dentist did not mention avoiding chewing gum or other foods you should be able to eat what you want immediately. Please consider chewing sugarless gum with xylitol or recaldent...This type of gum fights cavities :).

As Soon As You Want: Dental sealants are typically hardened with a light. So once you leave the dental office, they are completely set.
