Several things. : The most important and effective way to treat the pain of a urinary tract infection is to take a full course of the correct antibiotic to eliminate the cause of pain. In addition to this, a medication called Pyridium (phenazopyridine) can be taken to help with burning and pain of bladder irritation. Nsaids such as Ibuprofen can also help by reducing inflammation.
