Maybe uncomfortable: I have had a breast MRI and the procedure was not painful. It was slightly uncomfortable because you are face down with your breasts in a hole. You will have an IV placed in order to get the contrast. All in all, it was not bad.

Not really.: An injection is almost always given so there may be discomfort in placing the iv. Some patients find that maintaining the required position (arms up, lying on stomach on relatively hard table) for the necessary amount of time (typically 30 minutes) to be very uncomfortable and some people experience claustrophobia in the machine, but its not really painful.

No: Breast MRI is uncomfortable positioning on your stomach, breasts rest in MRI coil, arms above head, up to 45 minutes. Noisy, use ear plugs. If claustrophobia then open mri. Of course intravenous before starting test for the gadolinium injection.

There is: an injection involved, and the positioning can be uncomfortable for some, but otherwise it should not be painful
