Yes: Currently, cataracts can be removed with surgery (which may involve laser), and they are removed if the underlying visual potential is good and the cataract is consistent as the cause of the visual complaint.

Cataract: Yes. If the cataract is having an adverse effect on your daily life (driving, reading, etc.), then surgery is the best option.

Maybe: If the vision is cloudy from the cataract, then surgery is the definitive cure. If the vision is clear but the catatact is only causing refractive changes then glasses or contact lenses can used until the vision becomes cloudy.

Cataract surgery : Great question. You would receive a lot of ideas on ultrasound removal versus laser removal of a cataract. Now lasers are gaining entry into cataract surgery by actually making the incision, correcting some corneal astigmatism, and even breaking down the cataract to facilitate easier removal. Bot. Line: they are all exceptional techniques and involve replacing the cataractous lens with an implant.

Cataract surgery: Cataract surgery is performed with a technology called phacoemulsification, or with a technology called femtosecond laser. They are both very effective.

Surgery: If the cataracts are visually significant, and glasses have been checked, then surgery is the best way to correct for cataracts. Using ultrasound or laser to remove the cloudy lens (cataract) and replace it with an artificial lens implant.

Laser Cataract surg: Cataract surgery is best way to remove a cataract performed with an ultrasound technology called phacoemulsification. New Laser Surgery with a femtosecond laser is likely better in many respects. They are both very effective, but the majority of eyeMDs would want Femtosecond Laser Cataract Surgery if given a choice & if out of pocket expenses were not an issue.
