It can be hard: No one has found the magic cure, though there are a lot of different approaches. Engaging ins some other healthy behavior when you have the impulse to overeat can help. One of my former associates has found that "mindfullness" approaches or "intuitive eating" helps some people with overeating: http://cpancf.Com/articles_files/intuitiveeating.Asp.
