Healthy food!: Cutting back on sugar is a great idea. But you don't need to cut back on calories. Instead, choose healthy foods like lean proteins, plenty of colorful fruits & veggies, plus lots of fiber. Grains are ok if you don't have a gluten sensitivity. Dairy is good if you're not lactose sensitive. Try to avoid processed foods high in salt & calories but low in nutrition. Have your doc refer to nutritionis.
