Transient lingual: papilitis, FYI. The common name is "lie bumps". Painful and characterized by swelling, lie bumps are the result of irritation to the individual fungiform papillae that house your taste buds. It is most often associated with eating high acidic fruits (citrus) and vegetables as well as sugary food and drink. It should clear on own in 2-3 days; brush/floss twice a day; warm salt water rinses.
