Safe: Macrobid is consider to be safe to use during most of pregnancy, but it is not recommended beyond the 36 week of gestation. A urine culture should be done. If you are having recurrent problems ask your OB about surveillance urinalysis and prophylaxis with antibiotics. Good luck.
