Your Dr to advise: You can be treated with any of the first line antibiotics, provided you are not allergic. Utis in a 70-y-o can be treated with trimethoprim/sulfa (bactrim, sulfatrim), nitofurantoin macrocrstals(marodantin or macrobid) or cipro, (ciprofloxacin) these are most commonly prescribed. In some cases ampicillin, augmentin, keflx or a tetracycline. Good luck.
