UTI in women and men: The simple answer is that if you have a routine UTI this is not transmitted to your partner. I am always cautious when answering these questions without more history. Complications of this scenario would be if you had an infection with a bacteria that causes stds causing your bladder infection or some thing more significant. It is very hard for a man to get a bladder infection.

Sometimes...: The usual suspect/cause of UTI such as e. Coli, klebsiella, saprophyticus type of bacteria will not be an issue. In rare instance, chlamydia/gonorrhea etc...Can cause UTI symptoms in females and these certainly can be transmitted to males, and vice versa. So, better practice is to use protection such as condoms or wait until your trouble is fully treated. Consult doc. Good luck.
