A member asked:

Why can i still eat other diary product if i'm lactose intolerant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Threshold issue: Most people, even those with lactose intolerance, have the ability to digest some lactose because they have some lactase enzyme activity. Exceed your threshold to drink milk and you pay for it with gas, bloating, diarrhea. Consume small amounts of lactose (below your lactase enzyme threshold) & you're good to go.
