Very good morning doctors. at times i get mild constipation. i think that i am also lactose intolerant. when i take dairy, my bowels loosen up. is there a product or medication that would safely simulate the effects of the dairy on my constipation?

Lactulose, a medication prescribed to treat constipation, is derived from lactose. I have no experience with its effects when taken by people with lactose intolerance. Your pharmacist may have information on this topic.
