How small and where?: "water" is a normal component of all body tissues, including bone and brain. Too much water can cause brain swelling (cerebral edema) or hydrocephalus (excess spinal fluid--csf) within normally occurring brain fluid cavities comprising the ventricular system. Generally to become symptomatic, the fluid excess is more than "a little".
