Ask your surgeon: You should have received wound care instructions and activity restrictions from your surgeon. Every surgeon tends to have his own specific post op care routine that can vary from patient to patient for several reasons. I do not have enough information to guide you appropriately.

Surgical wound: No recommendation is appropriate online. You need to call the surgeon and get specific orders on how to handle the dressing, when its safe to shower, etc.
