A member asked:

I had a biopsy done on a thyroid lump, it came back clear but now the lump has either spread or there is another one, could it be cancerous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lumpy: If you had a fine needle biopsy of a thyroid nodule read as benign, this is likely correct. Many people have multinodular thyroids (lumps). You can see an endocrinologist, a doctor who can assess the overall function of your thyroid and follow changes in the original nodule biopsied, as well as the others , in case re-biopsy is in order. Also, maybe ask 4 2nd opinion on your biopsy result.
