Lipids: It's important to understand why you have elevated lipids and chronic pancreatitis, as the two things may be unrelated or intertwined. Your doctor can do a series of blood tests to determine your liver function and lipid profile, and, if warranted, choose to treat you with a statin drug to lower ldls and triglycerides and increase hdls.
