Pancreatitis: Chronic pancreatitis most often due to alcoholism. Other causes are hypertriglyceredemia, certain medications, stone in common bile duct, etc, treatment of the cause. Quit alcohol, surgery for gall bladder stone or withdrawing offending medications, pain control, control of diabetes if any, digestive enzyme replacements if needed.
