Circulation problem: If the burning is associated with cold environment or there are skin color changes ("red-white or blue") a circulatory problem should be considered. Other possibilities would include peripheral neuropathy, drug induced problem or skin exposure to irritants.

Neuropathy: If she is diabetic this is one thing that causes burning sensation in hands and feet. Sometimes drugs and other infections will also cause this problem. Please tell her medical doctor about this. Certain test may also be necessary such as ncvs to figure out what exactly is causing this problem.
