Your right to ask OB: High blood pressure in the expectant woman can have effects on her and the baby. If the pressure is too high for too long or shows effects on the fetus, then OB or mfm doctors will determine whether the benefit of staying pregnant outweighs the risk of delivering early. It is an important decision made with great attention to bps, labs, evaluation of mom+fetus, and input from baby doctor and you.
