This particular antibiotic has been found to increase heart and palate defects, as well as decrease fetal growth, when given to pregnant animals. In pregnant women, this antibiotic may be prescribed by your doctor if the benefits are felt to outweigh the risks. Please discuss further with your doctor before taking it.
